I began throwing pots at Earthworks on the Upper East Side of New York City, seeking a tactile outlet to balance long hours spent writing in advertising. After nearly a decade of exploring different clays, forms, and firings, my husband and I relocated to a mountaintop in Roscoe, NY—where pottery evolved from pastime to passion, and the work took on a more sculptural, personal identity.

I love to create functional yet artistic ceramics that reflect both natural curves and weathered, muddled surfaces of the Catskills landscape, as well as the timeworn beauty of ancient artifacts. Drawn to form over formal decoration, I’ve embraced cone 6 salt firing—a process where atmospheric effects in the kiln create elemental unpredictability across each piece. I fire much of my work with Sara Paterson, of Crooked Willow Pottery in Bethel, NY, as I continue to learn the depth and beauty of atmospheric techniques.

My work can currently be found in local markets and shops throughout the region including Catskills Curated, The Hound Books, the Farmhouse Project Makers Market, the showroom at Crooked Willow Pottery, and (coming soon) The Roscoe Collective.
